What can I expect booking a child restraint installation with you?

Updated: May 8

All bookings are taken online This ensures that we capture information we require from you accurately, such as address, number of restraints to be installed, vehicle type, etc.  Online bookings are also for the sake of mutual convenience – often we receive queries from customers when we’re on the road or doing fittings and it’s simply not feasible to pull over, put a call on hold, check the calendar and quote a price.  The website serves this purpose.  Additionally, booking online means that you agree to and accept our Terms and Conditions.

You will receive a confirmation email from our booking platform, Simply Book.  This allows you to ensure the accuracy of the information you’ve provided and also has an invite that you can add to your calendar.  If you haven’t received your booking confirmation check your Junk folder, and if it’s still not there email us.  For your reference, the booking email should look something like this:

We will endeavour to arrive 15 minutes either side of your specified appointment time.  If we’re running earlier than this we will either message or call you to check this is okay.  We expect the same courtesy from our customers, if you’re running late or need to rebook, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.  Please note, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy, appointments cancelled within this timeframe may be liable for a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the initial booking fee.

Up on arrival we will confirm the work you want completed, install the restraint for your (you’re welcome to watch if you wish), demonstrate how to use and just it, until you’re comfortable and answer any other related queries you may have.

We will issue you an RMS Certificate, within 4-5 business days (but usually within 48 hours) via email confirming the restraint has been inspected and correctly fitted.

We reserve the right to refuse to fit or certify any restraint at our discretion, particularly if the restraint is older than 10 years (this is a legal requirement) and we will also not turn a child Forward Facing unless the child is at least 12 months old, meets the minimum height markers on the restraint and is comfortably walking.  This is industry best practice and in the best interest of your child.
